Yes! You don’t
have to have a website to promote to donate to this worthy cause! You will still be recognized on this site
and weblog.
1. What is the idea?
The idea is simple. Try to raise money for my son's youth group,
Troy DeMolay, so the chapter can attend State
Conclave this year. State Conclave costs about $120 per member and we
hope to be sending as many as 20 members this year. We have tried
various fund raising ideas but I decided to give Pixel-Advertising a try.
My thinking is that there are so many Freemasons on the Internet that
would enjoy being able to donate to a worthy cause and get a little bit of
site recognition along the way.
2. Who are you?
My name is John W. Ratcliff. I am a Master Mason living in Missouri. I am
a member of Wentzville
Lodge #46 and Naphtali Lodge #25. I am a Noble of the Moolah
Shrine in Saint Louis.
Finally, I am the Chapter Dad for Troy
DeMolay.
Outside of Masonry I have been a semi-famous software developer for many
years and have worked on a number of computer game projects. I am
active on the Internet and I believe this site will be a unique way for me
to engage the rest of the online Masonic community.
3. What will you do with the money?
The money raised will be used to send Troy DeMolay
chapter to State Conclave. If we end up raising more money than we
need for that purpose we will distribute the funds to other Masonic Youth
groups in our area.
Every single penny raised and spent will be accounted for on the accompanying
weblog.
4. Can anyone buy advertising on this site?.
No. While we would be happy to accept your donation, we will
restrict advertising to Masonic themed sites
However, anyone can donate money and be recognized. We will also accept links to Weblogs of friends of Master Masons if they are in good
taste.
